Carpooling with the Calvers

My coworker Drew and his wife Erin have lived about half a mile from our house for years, and they have two daughters just about Larkin and Logan's age. Slowly but surely, our worlds are aligning. The girls don't go to the same school but do go to the same after-school program. Eleanor is going to be on Larkin's soccer team this season, and we are probably going to join the same children's choir (playing that one by ear tomorrow). This afternoon, Drew and Erin had an important meeting pop up, so we picked up all four girls and brought them to our house for dinner, tv, and playtime. Great fun and so nice to be able to help friends!

Here's a segment that ran on NPR yesterday that will shed some light on the meeting Drew and Erin needed to deal with today.

Update: St. David's knocked Drew's portion of his bill down from $109,000 to $332 after all the press it got nationally.
