Austin got some ice on Saturday night that is still melting from the roads as of Tuesday morning. We got off easy compared to family in Mississippi, so no complaints here. Although, Grandaddy and Nana got stuck here for two extra days and had to move from one Airbnb to another despite the icy conditions, so they likely have a few complaints, actually.
Larkin (#32) and Logan (#11) both had soccer games this past weekend, with Ann Richards MS playing one game and Mccallum HS participating in a tournament in Bastrop. They totaled five games in two days for anyone keeping track, which is A LOT of time for parents to sit on cold metal bleachers in blustery January weather. But both girls got a ton of playing time, and Larkin scored her first goal as a McCallum Knight. I'll get better pictures next time when I'm not so cold (maybe).
Last Friday, we celebrated Larkin's birthday by renting a giant van and driving 9 girls to the Trail of Lights at Zilker Park. After the trail, we returned to the house to decorate gingerbread houses, which proved more challenging for some than others...
The girls and I went to see Beauty and the Beast at Bass Concert Hall last night. We took our friend Jennifer to celebrate her birthday and Larkin's!
Larkin (and this blog) turned 15 on Friday. We had a great day together, shopping at the Domain and then having dinner at Hank's with Logan and Marvin. My heart hurts thinking about how quickly time is passing!
