Angelina County Rodeo

Thanks to Aunt Erin and Uncle Jay, Larkin got to attend her first rodeo this weekend in East Texas. She was scared of the tractor smoothing out the dirt in the arena when we first arrived but thought the horses were fascinating. Unfortunately, Larkin got too tired to stay for the bulls. Next time, baby girl.

Larkin also got to enjoy a wagon ride with Cousin Bailey, compliments of Grandma...

 ...and then Grandpa...

She also loved seeing all of Aunt Erin and Uncle Jay's horses, their donkey Rufus, and their cute little baby chicks.

Meanwhile, Uncle Brian and Aunt Daisy's dogs Shirley and Chase gazed longingly out the window at all the excitement in the front yard.

  1. I'll be on the look out at Moore's in Pontotoc for a cow girl hat! And maybe boots?

  2. Definitely boots. That's all Larkin wanted to try on the last time we went shoe shopping.

  3. Now at daycare when trouble starts Larkin can say, accurately, "This ain't my first rodeo!"

  4. An excellent point, Uncle Ned.
