Larkin finished strong in her last basketball game of the season, scoring the last shot of the game for two points while drawing a foul, and then sinking the free throw as the cherry on top. We didn't win this game, but we played much better against the opposing team than we had earlier in the season. Go Panthers!
Larkin is hooked after a day on the bunny slope and a couple of runs down a green. Logan is...still undecided.
Larkin has taken up basketball this season and is doing pretty dang good for only having played four games. She didn't make this free throw but she sunk a basket on a different play and loves swatting the ball out of the other team's hands.
Grandaddy and Nana are in town this weekend, so we took advantage of the warmer weather this afternoon and checked out Fortlandia at the Wildflower Center.
I enlisted the help of Jen Henry to take the girls to Circuit of the Americas tonight to visit a different trail of lights than we usually go to at Zilker Park. We had a good time, and it even got cold outside so that it felt a little more like Christmas than it did earlier in the week.
She's not eleven until tomorrow, but we had a birthday party this evening in the yard, complete with a little free-for-all soccer, trampoline madness, lots of s'mores, pizza, cupcakes, and a movie on the big screen. We only had one burned mouth and one dislocated finger. Overall, a big success, and we will all sleep well tonight.
