A Bluebonnet Victory!

They've come a long way since the tiny field by the YMCA when they were four. Larkin's first soccer game of the season was this afternoon out in Pflugerville. It was h-o-t, and the other team was full of giant girls. But the Bluebonnets pulled through with a 2-1 victory. 

East Austin Orcas

Logan's joined the swim team at the East Communities YMCA. She's on a steep learning curve and is working very hard to follow the coach's instructions. We are proud of her! 

Sweet Ritual for the end of the first week

This time last year, we couldn't go to Sweet Ritual in person for an end-of-the-first-week-of-school celebration. Covid numbers are off the charts in Austin right now, but we are appreciating the little differences in this and our pre-vaccine life. Now if we can just get these girls vaccinated, we'd all rest a little easier around here. 

First Day of Third and Fifth!!

 ...ok, so the first day was actually Tuesday. It's been a hectic start to the school year for me, so I'm just getting around to posting the photos. 

Two girls...two schools...wish us luck!

Mary Poppins

 The girls participated in a theater camp last week, where they performed in _Mary Poppins_ at the end of the week. They both had a good week.

MS Writers Trail Marker and Plus Camp Performance

We've had a busy couple of days. Aunt Da's Writers Marker was unveiled yesterday at DSU and then Larkin had her Plus Camp performance this morning. 

Grammy Museum and a Birthday Cupcake

 After camp today we took the girls to the Grammy Museum, where they rocked out for about an hour, and then we surprised Maggie with cupcakes and a couple of presents a little early for her upcoming 5th birthday. She was quite tickled.

Plus Camp in Cleveland

 M.A., Larkin, Logan, Mary Claire, Maggie and me are in Cleveland for the week while three of the four girls go to Plus Camp at DSU. After camp each day we find ways to keep the girls occupied--various pools, the train museum, frozen yogurt at Delta Dairy, and several modeling/dance-offs.
