Larkin was selected as the Smart Ticket Winner for her class this week. She chose "opposite playground" as her prize so that she and her classmates get to spend a recess on the big kids' playground. Here we are with bunny holding her prize ticket.

The freezing temps didn't keep the girls from wanting their ice cream fix this past weekend at the vegan ice cream shop Sweet Ritual...chocolate with glitter and sprinkles for Larkin, plain vanilla for Logan, and a pint of "Unicorn Poop" for home.

New Saturday Morning Routine

Since we have a new TV in the living room, we now have a TV in mine and Marvin's room. Larkin and Logan gleefully piled in the bed this morning for cartoons.

On the Road

We spent the night in Monroe, LA last night at "the coolest motel ever," according to Larkin, otherwise known as just a standard Best Western off I-20. Between Logan's strep throat and ear infection and Marvin's pneumonia-like illness, we didn't want to risk infecting Grandaddy by staying at his house. So we're spreading germs at the Monroe Chick-fil-a play area instead! Merry Christmas, Monroe!

All bundled up for the fun run!

It's a beautiful, cold morning for a fun run here in Austin. Larkin's class won the school fundraiser by collecting $3,950 to help the school raise over $26,000. Thank you, thank you to all of Larkin's donors out there!

Update: it ended up being SO cold outside, that they moved the run into the gym. Larkin did well and ran pretty much the entire 45 minutes the kindergarten classes were participating.
