Dinner at Central Market

Yesterday evening we met up with the Sollocks and the Jasiks at Central Market for dinner and playtime for Larkin, Bronson, and Penny Sue. While Bronson didn't have much to do with the girls, Larkin and Penny Sue bonded with rock and dirt gathering.

We got a package from Amazon today, a new clothes drying rack wrapped in one long piece of packing paper. Larkin couldn't have cared less about the drying rack but was excited to play with the giant paper boa constrictor! Such a satisfying crackle that snake made!

A Day at Home

After a busy month, we decided to spend the day resting at home. Larkin enjoyed playing with her toys and putting Mardi Gras beads on the dogs.

                                                          

                  

Fries?

We went to dinner tonight with some friends from Marvin's department, two of whom are getting hitched and moving to Tampa in a couple of days. Larkin decided to practice her hostessing skills by offering her basket of fries around the table.

Night at the Museum

"Music Under the Star" at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum this evening meant free live music, free iced tea, free ice cream, and free admission to the museum.

                                         

Bright Spots

It was a sad day for us as we attended the funeral of Marvin's 28-year-old cousin Jose Jaquez-Calame in Devine. Trying to take a photo of Larkin and Cousin Bailey at the luncheon afterward gave us reason to smile, however.

Happy Birthday, Grandaddy!

We're back at home in Austin now but were able to help Larkin's Grandaddy celebrate with a birthday breakfast Nana was kind enough to prepare before our flight.

Larkin enjoyed the birthday luncheon for her Great Aunt Da at GranMA's house today.

In the Reading Nook

Almost immediately after we got to Pontotoc last night, Larkin wanted to sit down and do some reading. GranMA was happy to comply.

GA to MS

Nine hours after saying goodbye to them in Valdosta, we ran into Aunt Mary Beth's brother Patrick and his girlfriend Sharon at a rest stop 50 miles outside of Tupelo, MS. Larkin was confused.

Larkin enjoyed playing at the Lasseter house last night with Uncle George and Cousin Madeleine, amongst many other folks. Safe travels to the Shawhans as they drive back to Baton Rouge on this momentous birthday for Aunt Da!
