Horseback Riding

We were able to book just two more lessons for the girls at the stable where they rode last summer and fall. The owner is selling the property in July, so the woman who had been doing to lessons is moving elsewhere. She had two slots available in June, so we snagged them. The girls both got back up on the horses like no time had passed at all. 

Brief Bluebonnets Season

 Marvin has been coaching Larkin's soccer team again this season, or what there was of a season this Spring. The league wouldn't let them have games till Austin moved down to Stage 2 Covid restrictions three weeks ago. They've since had two scrimmages rained out. They've been practicing when they can, and Larkin's really enjoying playing again.

Cutting Loose

 Logan's spending the night at her friend Mia Lucette's house for the very first time tonight. Mia's mom just sent me these photos. Logan will be disappointed to find out not every sleepover is going to involve swimming pools and mocktails. 😂

 

Grandaddy and Nana

Now that all the adults are vaxxed, Grandaddy and Nana got to come for a visit this past weekend. We hadn't seen them since our MS trip last July, so it was a great treat! 

Birthday Parties are Back!

We hosted a small gathering at the house yesterday for Logan's birthday. We have to get out social legs under us again. A two-hour party with approximately ten people completely wore us all out! We even forgot to take many photos, though we did get a few action shots of the trampoline and popping party poppers. 

Larkin's 5k

 Larkin has been attending a running club all semester and the season culminated in a 5k that she participated in with her cohort. Most of the 8-10 year-olds started strong out of the blocks, but were walking before they reached the first 200 meter mark 😂

Larkin was a trooper and ran most of the race finishing third. Very proud of this little athlete.

Under the Wire

There's a series of apartment complexes along Manor Rd. numbered 1-8 where we have made it a tradition to take the girls' pictures for their birthday invitations. We missed #7 for Logan since she didn't have a party last year, so we snapped some today, 18 days before she turns 8. Better late than never. Meanwhile, Larkin pouted because there is no #9 or #10. 🤷🏼‍♀️
