Harry Potter and the Bag of Kettle Chips

Before the rain started this morning, the girls had a few minutes to sit outside while Larkin read some of Book Two of Harry Potter aloud and Logan are kettle chips. 

Birthday #7

We celebrated as best we could with gifts, cake, ribs, and a Zoom party for the Ages. Happy birthday, Sweet Logan Girl.

Logan called Mary Claire on the Messenger Kids app so MC could watch while Logan opened the gift from Team Mitchell.

Boggy Creek Trail

We've lived in our house for almost 13 years but just this week discovered Boggy Creek Trail that is within walking distance of us and makes for a nice run or bike ride.

Hiking at Turkey Creek

We actually did this hike last Sunday, but I forgot to post it on the blog. We pulled up our masks when passing other people, so we didn't have them on the whole time, thankfully.

Another Saturday at Home

The girls mainly spent it playing Minecraft and talking on Messenger Kids with their cousins, but they took some time this afternoon to spray water everywhere, jump on the trampoline, and ride bikes. 

House Progress

After several weeks of COVID-19 shutdown, the construction crew is back at our house and banging away outside. It's a little tricky having Zoom meetings while they are working, but I'm trying to just be glad it's back underway! Here is the progress from yesterday. Today they are framing out the floor!

Not what we intended...

...when we bought the trampoline, it wasn't meant as a lounge chair for the girls to play their tablets on. But that's how they used it for a little while today. On the other the hand, because of the net around it, they kind of use it as an additional room of the house, which is definitely a plus since we are all home all the time now.

Easter Festivities

We dyed eggs yesterday, and the Easter Bunny found our house last night even though we've never been here for Easter before. The girls are now comparing Pokemon cards and chewing bubblegum. They wrote sweet notes to "EB" before bed last night and enjoyed reading his responses this morning, too.

Trampoline Time!

The girls say they are "tramping" on the trampoline, which I can't bring myself to correct yet. Marvin spent the day putting it together while the girls spent the day asking him 87 times if he was done yet. They then jumped for a few minutes before promptly getting into an argument. Hopefully, it will keep them entertained for a little while once they get over their spat.
