Violin Reboot

Larkin's decided to take back up the violin while we are stuck at home. She took such a long break that my old violin is too small for her, but she'll have to make do.

Social Distancing

The girls have a friend named Anna who lives nearby and whose grandmother lives even closer to us. We see them walking past our house more days than not now, on their way to sit on their grandmother's front lawn and visit with her while she stays on her porch. The girls and Anna originally bonded because they all love big bear hugs, so keeping them physically distant when they come by the house is challenging. Luckily, the construction fence helps a little bit.

Bluebonnets

We went Boring Exploring until we found the best Bluebonnet field in Austin. The girls were only slightly cooperative about a photo session, and we parked on a road that said "No trespassing." So the whole photo session was hurried, as evidenced by the pretty poor photos.

New Normal

The girls are getting lots of time on their scooters, and Marvin and I are getting lots of time on our laptops while sheltering in place till at least mid-April.

Daily Walk

We headed back out to the Mueller ponds again this afternoon just to get the girls out of the house and away from their screens for a little while. We saw a rather large lizard and a Great Blue Heron.

Marvin took the girls to Mueller to walk around yesterday to get them out of the house. The bluebonnets are officially out!

Sleepover

On the first Friday of Spring Break, we had three of the girls' friends over for a sleepover and then proceeded to read all the articles about the importance of social distancing right now. 😬
The girls had fun, anyway.

Weekend with Friends

Last weekend, Jennifer and Amanda came to Austin to visit since Emily is here. Lots of laughs.
