First Ballet Class

Logan was so excited about her first ballet lesson this morning. I asked her to pose like a ballerina, and the first photo is the pose she struck. So we have some work to do! Not too long after I snapped the last photo, she broke down in tears and spent most of the rest of class in my lap. She was bothered by all the things--her sister wasn't there, the male teacher (why, Logan?!), the loud music attempting to drown out the even louder Zumba music from downstairs, her underwear...
She did end up standing with me and doing the last few exercises of class. She then said proudly, "See, I AM a dancing girl!" So we will give it another go next week.

Playdate with Penny!

Larkin had the best Friday ever. She got to go to the Thinkery with Penny Sue Sollock, and then Penny and her parents joined us at our house for dinner. Fun times together for these two Pease Bobcats!

Taking Measurements

Our freezer decided to die on us and will cost almost as much as a new fridge to do repairs that *might* work. So Logan did some figuring, and we purchased a new one to be delivered Saturday. She says it is going to fit the space better than the last one. I trust her.

Mid-week Slump

Larkin has survived 3 days of kindergarten, but she is so tired tonight that she doesn't want to eat dinner. Meanwhile, my feet hurt from my teacher shoes. We have to get back into school shape around here!

Logan moved up from Pandas to Penguins at the CDC yesterday. She took the change in stride and seems happy as can be.

We have a kindergartener!

She had a great first day. A new princess lunchbox and Paw Patrol backpack didn't hurt, nor did oreos in her lunchbox.

Celebrating Claire's 8th Birthday

The 8th birthday of the child born on 08/08/08 at approximately 8 AM. We enjoyed lots of cake, cousins, glo-sticks...and much gleeful screaming.
