Larkin was in a singing mood today. We couldn't catch very much of "Rock a Bye Baby" but did get most of  her version of the alphabet song.

Marching Band

We loaded Larkin up in the car last night to go to the Austin High homecoming game. She was excited about seeing the marching band. Unfortunately, after twenty minutes of searching for a parking space, we finally gave up and went home. No football. No marching band. Instead, Larkin had to make do with seeing the marching band practicing after school today. That was just fine with her since she was pretty sleepy last night anyway.

Surprise Biscuit Brothers' Show

Larkin and Jessica went to Central Market this morning for breakfast and some playground time only to find that The Biscuit Brothers were going to perform a couple of hours later. So mom and daughter ate breakfast, played A LOT, and then ate lunch while listening to the band. After the show, they went home for a three-hour nap. Good day.

--at Fiesta Mart this afternoon, where one can buy anything from cornmeal and soymilk (as we did) to work boots and very short spandex dresses in a multitude of designs. Larkin also appreciated the tiny merry-go-round outside the store.

AHS Choir Concert with Mama

Larkin went with her mom to the Austin High Choir Fall Concert last night. Her look of disgust in this photo is due to the flash on the camera and the relatively late hour.

This is the hat Larkin picked out at Target this afternoon for cold weather. We didn't buy it this time around but may have to go back for it. It's pretty cute.

Larkin would have concentrated more on the football games last night, but she just had so much work to do. Sadly, both Ole Miss and Texas suffered from her lack of attention. Sorry, guys.

Picking Out a Pumpkin

We went grocery shopping this morning at Central Market and decided to get a pumpkin while we were there. Larkin's first choice was a little too big for the cart (and too expensive for our budget), but we eventually settled on one called a Fairy Tale Pumpkin, pictured beside the super-sized pumpkins below.
