Beach Day 2.0
Despite the possibility of dealing with July 4th traffic jams and over-crowded beaches, the girls wanted to return to the beach badly enough that we got up early to beat the crowds. We were able to spend a few hours in the water before leaving for lunch and a rest before fireworks. Home tomorrow.

Busch Gardens
The girls went to their first major amusement park today. It was equal parts fun and challenging in that we got to do a few rides, see some animals, and watch a pretty ice-skating show, but we also had to contend with some long lines and wait times, the heat, some fairly major motion sickness in the bushes (me!), and a wee bit of crankiness (the girls!). We are so grateful to Amanda, Joseph, and Jennifer for making the trek with us even though they nor their kids had any particular desire to ride any roller coasters. We are all pretty wiped out tonight.

Girls' Trip 2024
The girls and I left yesterday for Safety Harbor, FL to visit Amanda, Joseph, and Miles. Jennifer and her daughter Maggie joined us, too. Yesterday, we found all the peacocks in a nearby neighborhood and today we took a ferry to Caladesi Island and spent the day at the beach. Tomorrow--Busch Gardens.
Treasure Island!
Logan spent the past three weeks in theatre camp, working on the production Treasure Island. She played a pirate named One Eye and had a blast!
