A Change in Tradition

Typically, at the end of the first week of school, we would hit up Sweet Ritual for celebratory ice cream.  But since Sweet Ritual is sadly now closed for good, we switched to frozen yogurt at a nearby Menchie's. The girls stuffed themselves, and all is well.

Friday Night Lights

At the UT Women's soccer game last Friday, where they won 7-0.

Sixth Grade Excitement

Larkin was thrilled to find out on Friday that she is in the same class as her friend Lexie, who she has known since preschool. In a copacetic turn of events, she's also in the same class with three friends from her Pease days, who all ended up at Lee Elementary by sixth grade. One other reason she is excited about sixth grade--helping out with Safety Patrol. I managed to snap a quick picture of Larkin and Lexie already on patrol this morning. This was right after she practically ran away from us at drop off. She's ready!!

Last Week at the Lake

Marvin took the girls to Lake LBJ last week for some fishing and relaxing with cousins and Grandma and Grandpa. They had a big time.

First Day of Fourth and Sixth!!

And year 17 for me 🫣😳

Dog Days of Summer

I officially go back to work Monday, and the girls go back the week after. We filled the day with back-to-school clothes shopping, followed by snow cones after dinner, a soccer game on TV, the start of a puzzle on the new puzzle table, and a little late night roller skating up and down the hallway.
