 Larkin had hours to burn inside on this cold, rainy day. She put it to pretty good use. 

Wildlife Ranch

We have seen the signs for this drive-through wildlife park for years on the way to Devine/Castroville but decided to check it out today with my friend Jen O. The aggressive ostriches were something special. As were the baby giraffe and her prancing cousins.

We had a little trouble finding a tree Sunday afternoon and had to grab one quickly at our second tree stand that was shorter than we had hoped. But the girls enjoyed trimming it nonetheless.

We celebrated with a playdate with Larkin's friend Isabella, who she hasn't seen in person since last March. Penny Sue stayed over last night and decided to stay for the day, too.
