Trying on Costumes

Logan's dance class got to try on their recital costumes and do their first attempt at the dance without their teachers dancing with them. They look pretty darn cute.

The Thinkery with Rosie

It's another busy weekend around here with two birthday parties, a playdate at the Thinkery with Rosie, dance, gymnastics, and soccer practice. 

Mt. Playmore Party

We are in the thick of birthday party season for Logan's classmates these days. Saturday's party was at one of the girls' favorite places--Mt.

Playmore. Sunday's was at a friend's house with a bouncy castle in the yard.

Gymnastics Lesson #1

Gymnastics lessons in this city are ridiculously expensive, so we always end up at the YMCA when Logan starts talking about gymnastics because they are the most affordable. I decided Larkin needed to go to this round of lessons this Spring, too, though she wasn't exactly thrilled about it. We will see how long we can continue since half their usual space is closed off due to water damage, which means that they don't have a lot of equipment set up and that parents had to wait in the hallway, peering in through the doorway. I snapped this photo just before Larkin got kicked in the mouth, so we are off to a rocky start. I like the picture because of how hard Logan is concentrating and because Larkin is watching Logan for guidance, which rarely happens.

Story Wranglers

A few of you out there helped fund the Story Wranglers Program with Larkin's class the past few months. She and her classmates had creative writing lessons at school, culminating in an acting troupe performing the skits the students wrote. It was a very silly set of stories that only an eclectic group of third graders could create. Lots of radioactive characters for some reason. Scroll down for a few short video clips below the photos.
