The Thinkery with the Yankeelovs

M.A. took Larkin to meet up at a playground with her friend Lexie and little bro Jack on Wednesday afternoon after gymnastics. It was really hot out, so they soon ended up at the Thinkery instead. Saying Goodbye to the Barcelonas

We went to Main Event in Austin on Friday afternoon to bowl and play arcade games with Lucy and Jude. We left for Mississippi the next morning, and the Barcelonas will have moved to Detroit before we get back. Larkin is pretty distraught about saying goodbye to her best buddy.

Armed with store maps, little pencils, and snacks from the cafe, we emerged a couple of hours after entering, without what we intended to buy but a cart full of other "must-haves!"

Fun with Friends

Larkin's best friend Lucy and her family are moving to Detroit in a couple of weeks (sob!). So we are squeezing in as much fun with the Barcelona family as we can before they leave. This past Saturday we met at a splashpad, and then Sunday we went to Sweet Ritual and then our neighborhood hipster grocery store In.gredients, where they have installed an awesome new pirate-ship playscape.

The outgoing 3-year-old classes at UTCDC had a end-of-year party at Pease Park Splashpad this morning. Logan loves Miss Leah and Miss Tori and is going to miss them a lot!

Helping Mom at School

Larkin came to school with me on my inservice day to help me pack up for summer. She went through all my markers, getting rid of those that were dried out. Very helpful!
