When I sit down for dinner, Logan climbs in my lap to eat off my plate, too, regardless of whether or not she has already eaten. It's fairly difficult to cut my food, and having a conversation is out of the question. Logan's really pleased with the arrangement, however.

Thankful we are safe in sunny Devine today and not in Austin where there is terrible flooding. Not sure what our house and garage will look like when we get home, but we'll worry about that later. For now, I'm just glad to be watching my work route on the TV instead of being on it. Zoom in and you'll see Cesar Chavez under water.

The girls and I have had a couple of years of togetherness like that pictured here, so much so that this is pretty much what happens anytime I sit down on the couch. I am currently in the airport sitting in a chair with no one crawling on me, and the girls are on their way with Marvin to Grandma and Grandpa's. It was time!

Admiring Aunt Da

Every so often since December, Larkin will go get Aunt Da's picture from the shelf and spend some time looking at it while asking questions about her. She's really trying to figure it all out, including if Aunt Da might have swallowed a horse. Meanwhile, I am looking forward to a weekend of celebrating Aunt Da in Cleveland while Larkin and Logan head to Devine with Marvin.

Not quite as traumatic an event around here now for Larkin as it used to be since she has started swim lessons and has realized her baby sister isn't bothered by the bath at all.

A tent in the living room

Logan got a tent for her birthday. It's supposed to go outside, but we set it up inside the first night just to check it out. That was Tuesday...it's still up...in the living room. There's no room to walk around it, but the girls love it. They watch the tablet in it, and Larkin even slept in it Tuesday night. So now I am preparing for fits to be thrown when I move it outside tomorrow...
