Jessica went back to work this morning for a few hours, leaving Logan with her GranM.A. She enjoyed her very first bottle and a nice nap.

Jessica pulled out the Becco harness last night to carry Logan around the house. But it can carry up to 35 pounds, so you can see who ended up in it...

Happy 3rd Birthday, Cousin Bailey!

Larkin, Logan, and their parents went to Devine this past weekend to help Cousin Bailey celebrate her 3rd birthday. Larkin came to the party prepared with her own strawberry and chocolate vegan cupcake and, therefore, fit right in at the table of feasting cousins.

Logan appreciated that Bailey had her birthday party on the day Logan turned three weeks old. But she decided the best way to celebrate was to sleep and nurse a lot. Alas, she and her mother missed most of the party... 

Watching Daddy on TV

Marvin had an interview this morning on the Austin news. Larkin was amazed to see her daddy on the TV and is now crying and mad at her mama that her daddy is no longer on the screen.

Turns out that Logan's carseat actually fits quite securely in the girls' new wagon. How convenient!

 Both girls did really well with very little fuss at all, for which Jessica is thankful.

Good Luck, Jennifer!

Jessica's good friend Jennifer will be having a baby boy tomorrow in Mississippi. He'll be 2 1/2 weeks younger than Logan, so they're sure to be big buddies once they actually get to meet each other. We're sending good vibes to Senatobia! Just think, Jenn, tomorrow you'll have your very own little bean to snuggle.

Riding in Style

Grandma and Taylor brought Larkin and Logan a fancy wagon yesterday, complete with its own canopy. Larkin enjoyed a ride this afternoon when she got home from school.

Two Weeks Old Today!

Grandma and Taylor drove up for the day to help Logan celebrate and to play with Larkin. We all enjoyed their visit!

Larkin loves her new puppy puppet-in-a-box, which is now beside her in the bed. She also got a kick out of Logan's receiving her very own doll to match Larkin's "Goldie" that she received as a baby. The Bendele sisters look so much alike so far that it's only fitting for them to have matching dolls!

Larkin, Logan, and their parents went to a party this evening to celebrate Katie and Becky's graduation. Both will be receiving their PhDs tomorrow.

 

She's Awake!

Larkin was beginning to think Baby Logan was just going to sleep her whole life away. But Logan discovered the koala bear on her play mat tonight, which has kept her interest (and steady gaze) for a good twenty minutes now. 

Books, Books, Books!

Thanks, Grandma and GranM.A. for all the books you've sent Larkin lately. They're very popular in her nightly book rotation and have helped ease the trauma of her mom not being able to put her to bed every night.

Train Rescuers

Larkin's new favorite game is something she calls "Train Rescuer," which involves moving her trains around the track while narrating all their close encounters with disasters. We're not sure if the trains are the rescuers or the rescuees, but Larkin seems to know exactly what's going on.

Happy Mother's Day!

Our friends Katie and Kevin came over this afternoon to meet Logan. They brought Larkin a vegan cupcake, which she thoroughly enjoyed.
Meanwhile, Jessica enjoyed a relaxing Mother's Day at home, playing with Larkin and holding Logan as much as possible.
